Default 'Cause this is for 'random' thoughts...

Many years ago I read, and recently purchased and viewed the movie, 'Love in the Time of Cholora'...I am still bewildered by how a man can love a woman for 52 years...

I say this only because in my lifetime, which has been a pretty long one thus far - I have never heard of that kind of love, by either man nor woman. I am speaking here of the biological man and woman, or for that matter - any kind of love, excluding familial love, by which, I mean, mother & child, sibling, love.

How does one love so long with unrequited love? I shouldn't wonder tho. I've loved someone since 1971 - what, that makes 40 years this July 4th...so, I guess I'm a close second to the man in the novel. Which means, I shoudn't be asking this question. It is evident. One can love forever, whether it is requited, or not...
