Hi Jennifer....I put the dry oatmeal into the blender all by itself, and *blend*, it chops it to dust.

I got a good chuckle out of the coffee utube, when the woman was adding metamucil for 6 grams of fiber. Oatmeal will give you 8 grams. BUT!....

Oatmeal is the only food known to do this, and is endorsed by the american heart association because of it. Oats are soluable. They go into your body and absorb excess grease (cholesterol) and eliminate it when you have a bowel movement. Cholesterol issues can be genetic and are not always caused by high fat diets. If I could make a suggestion, I'd suggest using quick oaks (mothers oats) instead of instant oats, because of the salt. No other reason.

We learn from one another....I never thought to do this....(thank you again)and I love oatmeal. But eating raw, you shouldn't introduce boiled foods into your diet. Now I can have oatmeal, and the benefits of it again.
