Was talking to the banker about refinancing my mortgage. Asked him how stable the interest rates are.

His response - "Rates have been relatively stable, but when things are this low, anything can make them bounce up, like a federal default, Greece going bankrupt, Ireland taking over all banks, a terror act, etc etc."

Life has become so internationally complicated.
