I know I am loved because he never does the yo-yo thing to me...

I know I am loved because I have never, ever for one second, been scared...or ever talked to in a mean way...

I know I am loved because he gets that I really am not gonna become someone else...that whatever the 'good' stuff about me it does in some ways come with the annoying parts of me...and even those don't seem so odious to him...

I know I am loved because every time she sees me her face fucking Breaks open she smiles so big, and so sweet, and so honestly and with so much generosity and welcome and so deep....

I know I am loved because I do, at times, really think I have been blessed with being 21 again only This time knowing what I didn't know then....

I know I am loved because I feel calm and excited and whole and happy...I feel liked...and that is often the thing that matters the most to me, that I am just seen and liked...it's pretty nice...

and to think...at my advanced age and in my semi-curmudgeon state I have been given an amazing gift...one which I hope, I return in kind 10 fold....

and, lastly I know I am loved because I haven't made an appointment to get the tear tattoos inked in well over a month....
