Definitely not a good idea to skip meals and get too hungry...that's when it's too easy to eat too much or eat our "sabotage" foods.
My latest trick when I'm hungry and don't know what I want is to grab a handful of mixed nuts and chew
slowly while I decide. It keeps me from eating something bad for me, and the protein and healthy fats take the edge off the hungry....and I think all the crunching and chewing helps too.
