I've used it when I've had split lips (try to go through the day without moving your lips....it was torture!) and it kept me in one piece, while allowing the skin to heal under the seal. Reapply as needed and keep in mind that the worse and deeper the cut or split is, the more it burns. So, it will burn less as your heels heal.

Gemme!! Thank you for being kind and sharing a healing thought with me. I did try New Skin and it did help the split. I was grateful. The pharmacist recommended that to me. However, the skin on my heel continues to flake, peel and crack. When the skin does grow back over, it is like a bubble. Not solidly connected to the skin underneath it (if that makes sense). The doc asked me NOT to treat it for the next two weeks until I see him again. I am not looking forward to that at all. It hurts.
I seriously thought I would be able to go in to see him. He would go "oh you have ____" and voila magic cream and I would skip (kinda) to my car all happy and stuff. Yeah No.
I did not go to the gym last night. I was very grateful I did not. I had a patient at 7 and standing on my foot for 1.5 hours while I worked on her, hurt like the dickens. I can only imagine if I had gone to the gym and irritated it more.
I will officially stop whining as of....NOW
