Out of respect for mother's need for rest because I am not the only one calling and/or visiting, I have been calling every other day. But I noticed she would answer the phone with "I have been waiting for your call". So yesterday's conversation went like this:

Me: Would you like me call every day?
Mother: Only if you aren't busy.

So now I call everyday. <sigh>
