Good Morning Kelt,
Your first part of the post just made me laugh...No, they aren't going to wire my mouth shut, but I have heard for the first week after they *apply* them, you cannot eat nothing solid. I am going to slowly add solid food but for the first two weeks, I will more than likely be eating soft foods. From what I have heard from my coworkers, it can take up to a year or longer. I am shooting for a year and hoping that it doesn't take two years, like it did for one of my coworkers. This isn't my idea and I am wishing that I didn't have to get them; but thanks to genetics, I have to...My dentist was telling me, that since I don't smoke, drink soda or anything else, that my teeth are very healthy and it shouldn't take long for them to heal once this happens...I have a very good pain tolerance and I will be taking Aleve to help with the soreness...
My roommate is excited about me not drinking coffee anymore, he will have the whole bag of coffee to himself...
Have a good day,
Zimmeh

I get that sugar will be out, insidious stuff, but all solid food? How about some decent stews or soups. Maybe some slow cooker stuff.
Knowing nothing about braces, I'm wondering how long this is going to take.
