I’ve somehow missed this thread! I’m a passionate music lover and grew up with Musicians in the family – I was mostly surrounded by Classical, Opera, Jazz and traditional Maori waiata (songs/music). I still continue to listen to these fantastic (I feel) music and have uploaded a lot to my laptop and MP3 and phone to listen to. My phone’s ring tone is Tequila by the Champs – I’ve loved that song since I was little dancing happily away, lol!

Among my vast music collection I have Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Glen Miller, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Matt Munro, Jim Reeves, Doris Day, Marie Ellington, Peggy Lee and Rosemary Clooney.

I often play these greats and Classical at work and when I’m volunteering at the Disabled Art Studio – the music has a very soothing effect on everyone and I’ve seen a few people who’ve said they hated this kind of music dancing along and quietly singing, lol!

I have some modern Jazz, but, rarely listen to it.
