A Letter to Brezhnev – I first saw this film in 1985 with my then girlfriend and my Maori Grandmother. It’s set in Liverpool and at first I found the accent hard to understand – I understand the accent a little better now, lol! It’s a kitchen sink drama/love story that, although has dated not very well, is still enjoyable, if you like that sort of thing.

How things have changed for Russia and the UK since this was made and how much I’ve changed over the years – my feelings are toward the characters are different now to what they were when I was 15.
