Default A date which will live in infamy!!!

Today is the 70th anniversary of this speech and the 70th (+one day) of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, which occurred on December 7, 1941. I'm filled with a personal sense of the importance of this day, because my Pop was part of it. He was a 13 y/o boy, playing in the street outside of his home in Honolulu, when he watched the Japanese planes fly over his house, on their way to bomb Pearl Harbor.

My deepest gratitude goes out to all members of The Greatest Generation of Americans, whose fortitude and strength of character brought this nation through the worst Depression this world has ever known, and then went on to fight and win a World War on not just one front, but 3.......Europe, The Pacific Theater, and the one here at home. They all pulled together and their greatest legacy to all of us is the Spirit of America.

G-d bless them all.
