Sucks and is inaccurate! The Social Security system is not broke, not even close and it has been a success. This goes for MediCare as well in terms of effectiveness. Now, we do need to adjust for future revenues into these systems and MediCare does have some problems that need to be addressed due to the huge numbers of Baby Boomers now entering it. And that could have been addressed earlier- it wasn't like we didn't have the demographic information about this population!

The fact is that both of these social safety net systems are among the best in the world, however, improvement can always be utilized for any system.

The freakin' US Postal Service is not run via tax dollars and never has been. Congress (the GOP headed one back to the days of Newt Ginrich being Speaker of the House) passed legislation that actually robbed the USPS's pension fund which is why it is in trouble.

There are other bogus claims here- but I know I am singing to the choir. Pisses me off, too, Snowy.
