Now wearing: a soft and cozy violet brushed-cotton top, blue starburst print pajama bottoms, a mismatched headscarf attempting to mask my seriously dodgy (not in a good way) morning hair.

Now eating: as yet nothing, though I'm day dreaming of challah french toast with a fresh berry compote, in reality I'll likely have greek yogurt with frozen blueberries.

Now drinking: coffee black with a squeeze of agave

Now listening to: the tick- tick- tick of the radiator, the snoring of the rottweiler in the corner, the occasional ping of WWF alerts on my phone and the lovely cushiony quiet of the snow falling outside.

Now thinking: that I'm still all wound up about the book I finished last night ("Snowdrops" by AD Miller) that left me disgusted and agitated. Bad book. Waste of time. Nothing meaningful nor redeeming. One dimensional stereotypes. Not thrilling, not noir and SO.NOT.Worthy of a place on the Man Booker shortlist. Grrrrrr.

Smell like: sleep, coffee, snow

Something good: a FaceTime catch up with Rosie & Jack!

Last website visited: NYT.com

Last person who made you smile: Cosmo and his unending glee at freshly fallen snow.

Now leaving for: Nowhere. Hoorah!
