Tonight we went to her favorite Mexican restaurant and I was really dissatisfied with the meal I chose. (Fish tacos. They were each wrapped in 2 flour tortillas. I peeled one off. There was too much dressing on the taco. And the sides were rice and beans. And I'm trying to stay away from too much starchy stuff.) I did manage to avoid the chips n salsa.... which I love... but is just loads of calories I don't need right now.
But I had a hard time choosing, at the time everything on that menu was seemingly either deep fried or covered in cheese. It was a little overwhelming to stare at... Anyone have any suggestions for what to try next time? (Other than, don't eat there? *LOL*) Maybe order the fajitas and limit the tortilla intake? ... Hmm....

Living in the land of mexican restaurants on every single corner... I had to learn what was best, too. In Texas, that's comfort food
So, I started just ordering al a carte... 2 chicken fajita tacos with lettuce & tomato OR 2 crunchy beef tacos with lettuce & tomato. If you miss eating chips & salsa, get an order of corn tortillas and tear 'em apart & dip in the salsa... it's a lot healthier of an option.
