I went the sperm donor route and have the sweetest 9 year old boy as a result. It wasn't expensive at all. $235 and $200 was for delivery from CA to NY. We chose a california sperm bank. Adoption was so much more complicated and expensive (at least 9 years ago).

I'd be happy to give more details. Ask away if you have questions. Best decision me and my ex ever made. We have a great son and because of him we really had to work hard to stay friendly after our breakup.
