I needed to book Rooster's flights to NY to spend his half-summer with his father and was dreading the cost. I'd looked and estimated it was going to be about $350.
Finally went on to book yesterday....logged in on his frequent flyer account and got a message.....you have 10,500 miles availalbe. Oh good! Checked the number required for one way.....10,300. Sweet! Booked that leg....for free.
Went to book the other leg....got another message....we're having a sale....here's $10 off. Good! Clicked to check out....got another message....you have a $25 travel bank credit (from a delayed flight) would you like to use it? Heck yes I would!
So his flights are booked....and instead of $350 it cost me a tad less than $150. Life is good.
