A 21-pound lobster was caught off the shore of Nauset Beach in Orleans. The lobster which is currently on display at a local fish market, has claws measured at about a foot long. I call him Larry.

The largest lobster on record was a 44-pounder caught in Nova Scotia.

It is expected the lobster will be sold or raffled for charity. Either way, I expect he will find his way back to the brine by summers end. It is custom to return unusual stuff to the ocean....after it is duly exploited of course.
