Lately my very first girlfriend has been on my mind. So long ago... And so much has happened... I smile at the memories and remember loving and being loved so deeply. Nothing has ever compared since. I was young and she was in her late 30's. Age truly does matter. We went our separate ways romantically but have remained friends...

I havent seen her in so long. Over the years, I have thought of her. And wondered if I would ever be truly loved like that again. And then my thoughts wonder to my mom telling me that she was a one of a kind woman. That I should hold on for dear life. That you only get that kind of a love once in a lifetime...

So life has taken us in different directions... And now, I open my email to find an email that tells me that she is thinking of us and everything we were. etc etc....

Which has me thinking, after all the might have beens, the pain and everything that happened in the past.... She could very well be the love of my life...
