I hated my land-line. I received so many sales calls on it from "do you need a new roof, we are in the area" to "we are doing a survey". I used to cringe every time i got a call on it knowing it was going to be some BS. I got rid of it and saved myself some money.
My cell phone is very important in my life. I text a pretty good amount as well. I drive to homes as a nurse and my cell is invaluable to me, calling patients, having a flat, etc. I call 911 sometimes as well when i'm in homes and i just always have to remember where i'm at lol...address.
If i leave the house and accidentally forget my cell i panic and drive back and get it. But also, my mom is elderly and i like being able to be reached by her or my kids 24 7.
I feel way more in-touch with people in my life and it is a security blanket of sorts.
