see, that's super awkward because the only time you need the yarn forward between the needles is for a purl, yes?

Begin Cable-and-Lace Pattern:
Rnd 1: *p1, k2tog, yf, k2tog, yo, p1, k6; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 2 (and all even rnds): *p1, k4, p1, k6; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 3: *p1, (yf, k2tog) 2x, p1, k6; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 5: Rnd 1.
Rnd 7: Rnd 3.
Rnd 9: *p1, k2tog, yf, k2tog, yo, p1, C6L; rep from * to end of rnd.
Rnd 11: Rnd 3.
Rnd 12: Rnd 2.
Work these 12 rnds 4x total, ending with a Rnd 12.
I am positively BOGGLED as to why I would need to bring the yarn forward to knit 2 together!
