Not just smile, but big belly laugh -- when someone forgot to bring the "jammer panties" to roller derby scrimmage (those are the covers that the jammers put over their helmets) and as I was looking through my car to see if I had a scarf or bandanna that they could use instead, I found a bag of my granddaughter's old "boy panties" (the only kind she'll wear - with toy story, super heros, etc.).

Well I brought a couple of them in as a joke, and they ended up wearing them during the scrimmage over their helmets. If you can't quite picture it, imagine two women skating around with toddler boy's cartoon character underwear pulled over their skateboard-style helmets.

(You probably have to understand derby to get this, and if I could post a pic you would see what I mean, but it's still making me laugh!)

I can picture this!

My 7-year-old granddaughter is in a junior roller derby team (team right word?) and nothing makes me smile more than to see all the little girls rolling around on their skates.

She has loved roller derby from the time she was little.

I posted once that she picked her own name: The Regurgitator!

Makes me smile every time to just think of the name
