Just finished this book. At 3.99 for the kindle edition, it was a good buy for me, and Molly Ringwald, as an author, was a pleasant surprise.

I wasn't sure what to expect from a former brat packer who long ago taught me the notion of applying lipstick from my cleavage, but this was a neat little piece that I read in just two nights and was altogether poignant, heartbreaking, and familiar. Ringwald presents the reader with a series of short stories, all linked together with a 'seven degrees of separation' type of flavor, centered around the theme of betrayal and heartache and how we push through to persevere in both.
When It Happens To You made me feel something in the pit of my stomach, and I love nothing more than a book that not only makes me feel but lingers for days after.
