I'd love to share. Thanks for asking! I got this off the internet. I use whatever apples I have on hand and the only other suggestion I have is ALWAYS use the lemon otherwise it rapidly turns an unappetizing brown.

(you can even use the lemon juice inside a plastic lemon if you don't have a fresh lemon on hand)
