With all of the "bad stuff" that we all face day in and day out, it's easy to lose track of all of the good things in our lives. I was told once that if we take a moment to stop and think of
at least three good things that we can be thankful for on a daily basis, our moods will generally improve. For me, that starts today.
So here's what I have to offer, and I hope others will join me on this by listing their own-- and listing them regularly so we can all share in the smiles.
Try to think of at least three-- more if you're able.
I am thankful for:
- Bold, fiesty femmes who tell you just how it is because butches/bois/ and transmen can be dense sometimes-- c'mon, ya know it's true!
- Great coffee
- The laughter of loved ones
- Friends who know and see your flaws-- and love you despite them
- A nation that provides resources for those who are temporarily set back or permanently disabled so no one has to suffer if they know where to look
- Coconut-scented hair care products; the smell of vanilla and lavender and citrus; fresh cut grass;freshly-baked bread; the smell of a baby's skin as well as puppy and kitten breath
- The ability to comprehend new ideas and thoughts and find new ways of viewing things, new perceptions
- My dad-- my hero
- Pajamas fresh out of the dryer, all warm and snuggly
- Sarcasm-- because I don't think I'd survive this world without it
- Medusa, Linus, and others who make this site-- and the possibility for making new friends and alliances-- possible
