Default Oxymoron... A TRUE fishing tale. lol

Hi everyone, glad to see I'm not the only fishing freak on the site, although I prefer salt to fresh water fishing (the stuff ppl throw in the canals and lakes here in Miami will probably end up giving us mutated, bubble gum chewing, cross eyed fish! lol) Anyhoo, last time I went fishing, I hooked a small cubera snapper, and as I was reeling him in, ho-hum, I looked down to see how much more I had to reel. The fish was about four feet away, when out of the deep came a snook bigger around than my thigh with it's mouth open and thinking "cubera hordevours" to itself, when it chomped on the little cubera. Ho-hum became YEEEEHAAAAA as the line stripped from my reel (lucky for me I had twenty five pound test line on there!). I fought that sucker for about fifteeen minutes, finally landed him, and when I got home and gutted the snook, there was the little cubera, half torn up, the hook that had hooked HIM was imbedded in the SNOOKS gut. Almost a twofer. lol I gave the cubera to my cat and ate the snook myself.
We've been having a real good run of Spanish Mackarel, Red Snapper and Spotted Sea Trout for these past few months. I missed all of last month because of surgery, but hope to be out and catching my limit again soon. Good luck to all you happy anglers out there!
