Ok, so that I can make those of you who are schadenfreudic* very unhappy, I would like to announce the following:

I am taking an older, glamourous woman** that I love very much out for a really nice meal tomorrow evening. What a way to start the weekend ........

* I'm not sure on the exact dictionary definition of the word but it basically means "Boston Red Sox fans"

** alas it's not a romantic encounter. That older glamourous woman happens to be my mum - she's over visiting London for the next week or so.
