So, '42' is a really enjoyable and moving biopic about Jackie Robinson. I was pleasantly surprised by the film.
The Great Gatsby - it was beautifully made, gorgeous costumes and spot-on art direction but otherwise really disappointing. I really liked the music as well, but playing with the musical genres was about as conceptual as the film got. Not Baz Luhrmann's finest hour. It also reminded me that I really disliked the book, there are no redeemable characters.
Silver Linings Playbook - I loved it! I thought it was absurd and painful and touching. I thought it was very well written and well acted. I particularly loved Jacki Weaver's performance as the foil to the over-the-top crazy. I thought the whole cast was fantastic.
Give me three movies you hope to NEVER see again
