(I would like to see some browns and blues)... a piece of the tree..etc..You can also paint the index cards to match you theme using whatever you have handy...crayons, watercolors, oils, pastels, etc. I would like the tree and water parts to be three dimensional.
After you are done putting the card together. I would like a brief note to be written as to why this memory stands out in your childhood.
We will do 10 participants. Same rules will apply as to helping with postage as I send all of Mine out priority mail with iinsurance
Let your minds wander back to when you were young.. at a time when you had no cares in the and you were at one with the Earth..

Also each card does not have to be the same scene. If there is more than one childhood scene you would like to share, please feel free. I was trying to make this not complicated, yet interesting at the same time.

I have to admit, I have mixed feelings about this project. I think it's a lovely idea, but for me, I think that there are too many restrictions/rules for me to be completely comfortable with it.
The size is absolute (4x6), requesting a pre-colored index card (I always buy white and color/paint/paste/accent as necessary for example), wanting not only 3 dimensional work (which is really a cool idea, I say) but specifically saying you would like blues and browns (in my world, maybe my trees are yellow, etc...I'm taking some license here of course), that it must be a memory from your childhood and include water and include trees (believe it or not, I don't have a lot..if any of those..as I am not a good swimmer and tend to stay away from water except for bathing and drinking purposes), wanting a description of the memory (again, kind of a cool idea), and really preferring that real water and trees be used in some form (not everyone has/use containers to be able to do this....although I did see you said it could be painted...alas, not a forte of mine). Also, there seems to be a bit more work involved than our usual rounds, but the time frame is a bit shorter.
Please don't think that I am trying to be snarky or mean. I'm just explaining my reasons for hesitating in signing up for this round. I usually only sign up for the rounds that interest me and that I think I can do well with. This one, I am on the fence about, since I'm not comfortable with my ability to produce work that includes all the rules. On the other hand, I don't think I've ever participated in a round with Random and I know she's artistically brilliant, so I'm waivering back and forth.
Well, I have until the 23rd to figure it out, I guess. *rueful grin*
