A RIVER RUNS THROUGH

There is something, so
incredibly beautiful
so, amazingly alive
about her

I can feel
her cool calmness
sparkling across the surface
laminating yet reflecting
this mysteriously pure power
twirling from within

I can hear
the voice of her being
flowing through me
beckoning me to her
like the sweetest of lullabys
soothing my soul

and, I know
if I could dream, at all
it would be about
her
