Just think, Sesame Street turns 45 next year! Can hardly believe it's been that long, now. I gave up television some years ago, yet I watch it infrequently when I happen to be visiting with friends, but I'd say some of the best television shows I ever watched were with my boys. I absolutely loved, Sesame Street!

Some of the most memorable skits I remember were skits involving Miss Piggy (Pigs in Space!), the Swedish Chef (I loved the Mexican Lobsters!) and of course, so many other muppet characters too; but I liked the mini-news series anchored by Kermit (News Flash!!!). *lol*

Here's my favorite 'news flash' by Kermit the Frog:

“The work that is called for is the construction of our “More Perfect Union”(Obama). That job will never ever be completed: it’s one that requires rigorous attention and unfading wherewithal and all hands. The work is the keeping of the promises of our promised land. The practice of decency, the protection of freedom, and the promotion of liberty for all. With no exceptions. That takes a lot of work done on multiple job sites, every single day. And you can call each of them a battle for truth, justice and the American way,”
