thank you for this it was much needed and appreciated.
The prognosis is this: Cricket has congestive heart failure. She is of unknown age because I got her as a stray, but the vet said its not uncommon in older,small dogs. Shes home with lasix to drain the fluid from her lungs and will be on heart meds for the rest of her life.
But...it couldve been much worse. She has a good chance and I will relish any time I have with her...
