Smiling...

Life. It has a way of amazing me still, even as I get older. Relationships, how they evolve and just get better.

Here is the backdrop...

I can remember when I was living at home, how, terms of endearment were never spoken. I guess it was understood. So when I moved across state lines and went to visit my parents, we exchanged good byes and hugs. Recently, on the day I would pack up and leave, my Dad told me he loved me out loud. I would then leave, all teary eyed as I left.
Today, he told me he loved me over the phone. First time ever. My heart is over whelmed with joy. I've always have said...it's the little things that make me smile.

What a great day!
