Highlight: the trees are simply gorgeous as their leaves become vibrant shades of deep reds, oranges and golden yellows.
Highlight: the sky dressed in shades of pearly clouds, ranging from deep slates to mid-scales of gray to nearly cotton-tipped white fluff of magic, rolling across the heavens.
Highlight: making homemade oatmeal cookies with steel-cut oats, plump raisins, shredded sweet coconut and chocolate chips. The hint of cinnamon and Mexican vanilla permeating the air as the cookies bake in the oven.
Lowlight (yet, it's a highlight surely): working a12 hour shift tomorrow. The silver lining is overtime. Will come in handy for time off in November. : )
