Let me just preface this by saying....

I never ever EVER Evereat "gas station" food. Like the hot dogs and nachos and such...

WELL...

Today I was driving home from the city and had to stop for gas. This gas station is like the ones I saw once in PA...they have made to order food, milkshakes you name it. (They also have amazing smelling brewed teas as well as coffee...squeeeee!!)

So, I'm particularly peckish. The prepackaged stuff looks meh and I'm passing the hot dogs and taquitos (YES! Taquitos!<3) and there's at least four kinds of hot dogs...and it's starting to whittle at me how hungry I am...when suddenly I see it...a cheddar jalapeno hot dog...sigh...

I didn't have the first idea how to even procure gas station food. Luckily it's very logically and obviously organized for newbies like me...and late night drunks I suspect. So I grabbed my bun and got some goods. Helloooo toppings The assortment is amazing but I stayed with the basics: pickles, kraut and jalapenos...cuz you can never have too much of a good thing...

In my zeal I forgot condiments and found them AFTER I loaded up on the extras...

Lunch for $1.33. Can't beat that with a stick
