Criterion Collection edition. Brando, Steiger, Malden and Lee J. Cobb were just outstanding. Brando put in some superb performances when it came to conveying the struggles of the working man and I think this was his best one in this genre, even better than his role of Stanley Kowalski.
I hate sappy hollywood endings, but it's impossible not to cheer for Terry Malloy when he struggles to his feet and enters the docks, followed by the workers.
It's excellent in every regard.
