Sometimes when depression sets in
I try hard not let it win
It takes from me a happy day
Keeps everyone I care about away
There are those days when I could curse
That's when I know it's at its worse
I have to let it ride the tide
Or it takes away from my pride
Asking others to forgive
The way it makes me sometimes live
Understand I'm not really cruel
Don't mean to treat anyone like a fool

On those days when I can't stand
