As children we all thought or said
"I cannot wait until I grow up,
To do whatever I want whenever I want!"

As adults we all think or say
"Oh to be a kid again,
To be carefree with no responsibilities!"

Neither child or adult is happy with their lot
There is no happy medium
Between childhood and adulthood

Being a teenager might be the worst of all
Knowing you cannot go back to the carefree days
But seeing the heavy responsibilities before you.

So maybe remember that
The next time your teenager rebels
That they are just fighting the inevitable they know is coming.
