A lone figure stands in defiance of the rain
With an angry cry torn from lips twisted in pain
Loving tears, like lightning, strike angrily at the ground
This is total anguish and loss put to sound
So much turmoil and pain lie under the skin
Meek verbiage takes form and so the words begin..
"Sweet sweet bard, sweeter love, how long have I followed your song?
My journey has been ever wearisome and oh so long"
Times changed, so much become forgotten except in hys mind's eye
With weary posture, ragged words, "Enough!", is the cry
Surrounded by new kingdoms of concrete, glass and steel
Longing for a loving touch upon hys skin to feel
Searching again, hy waits for another lover, another day
Knowing in hys heart, on meeting the very words she will say...
