Not sure how badly Trump wants to be President but I'm totally sure he doesn't want to be not-President.
"President" Trump is safe from criminal charges and gets his legal fees paid by American citizens.
"Mr." Trump will get slammed with criminal charge after criminal charge; will have to pay his own legal fees; and will have to pay his debts himself and get no pay-offs.
