Against the wind I am destined to ride
The saddle seems to be all that keeps me in place
Looking to the horizon I can see only darkness
Looking behind …. Regrets
The journey is a part of my becoming
I must ride this path
The pain it is a teacher
For it shows me who I am
A study in contrast
Strong yet weak
A cowboi with my battered heat on my sleeve
Yet at times invisible
But you can not see what I will not show you
So I pull down my hat tight
Feel the power of my mount beneath me
For it is with her that I am whole
So we ride
