It annoys me to no end how humans think themselves superior to "animals". Just think of what it took for this dog to do this - on an intellectual level: compassion, intention, courage, a comprehension that the other dog was in danger and therefore a realization that he TOO would be in danger! In short, what we humans call "soul". Not many of us would do the same for a fellow human!
What an amazing creature that dog is!
