![]() http://www.womensworlds.ca/ I heard about this from a friend who is leading a faculty led study abroad group from VCU for this event. She pushed it and was able to set it up for credits. What an awesome experience for students in the ever expanding program! http://www.global.vcu.edu/abroad/pro...etail/p93.aspx |

In honor of National Women’s History Month, Magnum presents a collection of images of women hard at work—paid or unpaid—in their respective fields inside and outside the home.

Judd Proctor and Brian Burns, producers of the Rainbow Minute, will be giving a presentation at VCU tomorrow, March 8 entitled “Powerful Women Who Loved Other Women.” The program in recognition of Women’s History Month showcases powerful female figures that have paved the way for change from Gertrude Stein and Eleanor Roosevelt and others. Proctor and Burns will share audio histories highlighting the significant contributions of women over the centuries and sharing copies of their one-minute radio segments. The historian duo also have a new Facebook page for the Rainbow Minute available here, http://therainbowminute.com The program is Tuesday, March 8, 7 p.m. a the Virginia Commonwealth University Commons Theater, 907 Floyd Avenue and is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs at VCU. ![]() Pictured Eleanor Roosevelt courtesy of the Library of Congress. |

This article starts out with a blurb about Charlie Sheen's interview with Piers Morgan, but becomes a very interesting statement on the "disposable" and/or "invisible" woman. Interesting and very disturbing article.
