Scars give character... Ever notice that when you are around friends that your scar becomes the theme to battle stories? For example, I have a scar on my forehead, and my friend says how did you get that? I say, I was surfing and hit the reef and the board knocked me out. My friend says well I was surfing a huge wave and I got wiped out and broke my ankle. Others say; Well it gives you character!
I have a the scar on my forehead from surfing and two weeks later I was a passenger in a car and I hit it open again on the windshield. I have a entrance and exit scar right below my chest of a bullet hole because I couldn't jump fast enough out of the way of an angry drunk shot gun. I have a scar on the right side of my head from a branch that pierced my motorcycle helmet and lodged into my skull. I have a long scar on my left knee from a shot putt from high school. I have a scar on my right knee from a knee scope that the pulled out broken bones from. And this is just some of the "Character" That I have on my body. Anyone want to share there battle scars? |

I have My own set of battle scars, and I agree that they give you character but also for Me they tell a story of how we as human beings have gone through alot in life and are still here to tell people about our lives!
My battle scars include: ~ My left knee from when I fell running in kindergarten and split it open right down to the bone ~ My left arm, very faded mind you, from the first and only time I ever self-harmed ~ My stomach, from the middle to the right side just under My chest, from My recent gallbladder surgery plus a small one around My belly button from the first time they took it out Thank you for starting this thread Blaze, I think its a great idea ![]() |

I have a scar on my forehead from chicken pox.
Tiny scars on my face from not being able to leave acne alone (sensing a theme here about not being able to keep my hands off of my face yet?). A scar on my upper lip from my cousin throwing an opened old Folgers coffee can at me. The serated edge tore my lip up. There's a scar on my arm from a series of shots I received as a child. I have, literally, hundreds to tiny scars on my hands from the jobs I've done as well as being a general clutz. Oh, and there's the time I took a pair of scissors to my hands and gave myself about 50 paper cuts. There is a faint, have to squint and know it's there to make it out, scar on my arm from a fight with a girl named Keisha. She had braces and bit me. I have a scar from my kidney surgery when I was 5 that is on my lower abdomen. It's a jacked up, crooked, toked looking smiley face. Most of my scars are from the hips up, but I have a few odd ones on my legs as well. I've been fortunate not to break a lot of bones and do a lot of stupid things that resulted in scars. Not that I haven't done a lot of stupid things; they just didn't result in a lot of scarring. |

My scars are not visible, for they are not on my body, they are in places few get to see.
These cars have given me plenty of character, but I doubt they will be the talk of any party. |

I have a faint scar over one eye from when I was about 2-3 and I poked a Saint Bernard in the eye.
I have a scar on my right hand from when my mom pulled a coat hanger out of my hand. I have a scar on my left calf from where a dog bite me while I was walking along the street. I have a scar on my right leg from when I went down a street late one night (or early morning, depending on your view) and I tried to avoid a drunk pedestrian while I was on my bike. I went sliding along the pavement. I have a new scar from when I went for a walk a couple of weeks ago and slipped on some rocks. Some scars are character builders; some are battle scars; some are reminders of a painful past.

I've got two or three that invoke questions from time to time and far too many others to mention the details one by one...I'm just full of character.

the one I picked up at 13 riding dirt bikes with the boys. I attempted a jump over a fallen tree and it resulted in me landing on the gas tank with half of my labia minora. I limped home with blood pouring from my crotch and my mother took one look at me and started her you're a woman now period spill. I was given a pad and a speech and she never even looked at it. :sighs: |
