wow today i am flooded with gratitude.
Today being Independence Day i am so very thankful that i was born in, and have lived in this great nation. Does it need work and fixing? Yes! Still, to be born here and have the freedoms i enjoy makes me very grateful. i am also thankful for: my love my loves my family my job my home my dog my friends |

I'm so thankful that even though my butch is chronically ill and she gets a little forgetful at times, she still has her right mind. We just found out that a friend we lost touch with over the years has dementia and is in a nursing home. That was very upsetting to both of us. Years ago we used to go out drinking and dancing with this man and his then partner, and were pretty close.
I'm very grateful that my butch is still pretty sharp mentally and she knows who I am. It would be devastating if she got to the point that she did not recognize me.
