I suppose getting together outdoors would be dependent on our ever changing weather.

Perhaps we might just find a happy medium between OKC and Tulsa at a restaurant we can spend a couple hours in. It might be easier to pick a date, just saying. I say this not knowing where everyone lives and what would be off a highway that we can all reach in a respectable time frame.

Not everyone likes the great outdoors and I'd hate to think someone wouldn't show because of it.

I'm not much into public gatherings in restaurants. I like the privacy of the outdoor public places. Which is weird.

Are you near OKC or Tulsa because maybe some of us can hitch a ride and share the gas expense of a motor home?

Heck, if we have a grill and bring along basic food for it, it would be wonderful.
Some of us could prepare side dishes and carry them along in coolers.
Everyone can bring what they're drinking.
Just finding a weekend without rain is the trick.
The only downside for me is that I work on Saturdays, so the only days good for me are Friday or Sunday.
An early morning start would be a plus for those wanting to fish.

I'm no good at being the planner, so I'll leave it up to anyone that can get this organized.

I would prefer a Friday so I could take advantage of the motor home for the weekend.

If we do this in May, I need to find out which weekend the Herland retreat is. The website hasn't been updated since Dec.

If a centralized location is needed, who lives the farthest east/west/north/south?

I am between Shawnee and Ada.

It hit the Town of Washington not Goldsby. Red and I stood on the front porch taking pictures of the Tornado that formed about 1 1/2 miles from our house. It was amazing to watch it happen. We were not in any danger of it hitting us. There were a lot of homes damaged or destroyed.

I'm going to moving back to my family ranch soon to take care of my mother and aunt they are 81 and 85 its 17 miles northeast of guymon oklahoma I'm going to miss texas but my mother is wroth it again and again......

I prefer the outdoor setting as well. Getting a group of people to agree on a restaurant is not easy, and you're kind of limited to talking to the few people that sit near you. We live in Oklahoma, most of us are used to being in the great outdoors, even if we prefer the city life. The water is beautiful, whether or not you fish, those who don't can always picnic nearby.

And any femmes can rest assured I will have almost anything they should need to survive in the wilderness inside my purse. :-)

I thought for sure the Tv said it was Goldsby. But it wouldn't be the first time a tv reporter quoted the wrong location. I am about 30 miles due east of you. Just a few miles east of Macomb.

It did say Goldsby, but there wasn't any homes near me hit. It flattened parts of rural Washington and there were some homes on the other side of the casino that was damage but no where near us.

I saw a tornado from my porch when I lived in Pawnee.
It was awesome to see it, but it touched down on the outskirts of town.

I watched another one when I lived in Stillwater.
It went right up RR51, heading to Tulsa and never stopped.
Good thing because I was 4 blocks from that one.

I feel better being in OKC, but not sure why.
I think when it's my time, it's my time.
Tornado or no tornado.

I've been to Norman a couple times, but have no idea where your town is Okiebug.
I'm guessing you're more rural though.
