Being spontaneous. I love mystery trips on the weekend, hearing about a concert or event and hopping in the car and going. I look forward to being that woman again, once this hip is fixed.

I miss my parents and my brother.

I miss my seclusion and often wish that people didn't visit as much.

I miss my friend who is now among the walking dead, a slave to heroin.

I missed being held, for about 5 minutes last night, til it got too warm under the covers.

I miss the days when people weren't so vendictive and didn't search out things to be offended by.

I miss my dogs that I haven't seen since December.

I miss being a kid with no worries and no responsibilities.

I miss the Harry Potter movies......

Don't know about where you are, I think leaving them open to air out was probably by order of "The Health Department"...if you get my drift.

I miss cars that looked like ocean liners, had fins, had metal radio antennas and trunks you could park a Honda Civic in.

I miss having spontaneous, deep conversations about the most random topics, that could span many hours.

I miss having a hand to hold. And knowing, at the end of the day, there would be someone out there that understood my intricacies, and who I was safe sharing them with.

I miss the stability of having a companion there. I guess after being with her for 10 years, it goes without saying that it will take lots of adjustment to move forward.

I miss having a pool in the back yard. Being able to come home and kick off my shoes, to walk back and forth on the first step. Stirring up the water, making waves, hearing the sound of the water as it moved around my ankles. Then sitting on the edge, looking up into my neighbor's huge tree, watching the leaves flutter.

That calmed me. The troubles of the day swished away in the water.

Playing with the boys next door... We would Ride bikes, play tag, climb the hill that was huge and rock like. It looked like a mountain to us kids.

Also miss a dog I had as a kid named cricket. He was the best.

I miss my big sister and my lil brother...lost them both to cancer. My brother has been gone for 4 years and my sister for 2 years. They have both been in my dreams a lot lately.
