I love photoshop, zoning out and letting my digital canvas take me over is the best form of relaxation

i've always loved bottles, ...
of beauty and not so much. quite a few years ago i discovered the bottle tree. i fell in love. i want to make different styles of the tree, ... say driftwood, different shapes of iron and so on. the creativity is endless. i need to make this a priority lol. the folklore is that the bottles capture evil spirits/ghosts. when you hear the bottle howl, that's a spirit inside the bottle. the cobalt color is said to be best at attracting. this photo belongs to eudora welty. she's more so known for her short stories. but quite a photographer she was.

bottle trees are a HUGE thing here in the South!!! Cobalt blue is official color of SC so cobalt blue ones got for $75 and up...some folks use rebar and make them and sell them here...

*messes things up* This is my kinda place!
I started out with good ol' pencil and paper. Smudge everywhere. Tried painting from time to time. Paint everywhere. Then came computers and Photoshop and her pals, and we had a great time. I now have my studio in a 14" little black box, and have kept my fingers clean since. Uh. from paints! |
