Feb. Winter Carnival
Saranac Lake Winter Carnival
February 1-10, 2019 Oldest continuing Winter carnival in the Eastern U.S. (orig. 1891). Takes place in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in the New York North Country Village of Saranac Lake. One of the best features is a large ice castle built in the center of town by inmates from one of the area prisons, a task they are said to greatly enjoy. |
