I have been making oatmeal for breakfast, most mornings.
I cook rolled oats or steel cut oats. Not a lot, and it takes talent to cook a small amount, lol (or not). I don't like leftovers, as it concerns oatmeal. I like freshly cooked oatmeal and I either have it with cinnamon, walnuts and Truvia (sweetener) or I eat it plain with fresh raspberries or blueberries or strawberries. Sometimes when I can't afford fresh fruit, I buy the frozen berries and lay a few of them on top of my freshly cooked cereal, so they don't get all mushy. But my favorite way to eat Oatmeal is with cinnamon, walnuts and Truvia. One cup a day, helps me out a lot. Lots of energy, plus I feel better.
