I know exactly what I'd do...

I would set up a trust for my son, and both my nieces.

I'd set up a foundation that would award grants to cover all the costs of trans surgeries and related expenses. To this end, I would consult an excellent financial advisor to allow the trust to be self-sustaining with prudent investment. (I even have the name of the foundation picked out...had it for years...just not the money to make it happen!)

And then...because I'd still have some F-you money left over , I'd set up the little bookstore I've seen in my dreams (because I don't think I could NOT work), and it wouldn't matter if it made a profit or not (see the F-you money reference above). In addition to my small business, I would probably also become a "professional" student....just taking classes with no major in sight....about everything I've ever wanted to learn.
